Roughly Falling

Sighing in defeat, Ichiro nodded. "Thanks...Tou-san," he said as he took hold of his father's arm and tried to walk off without a limp....but epically failed.

Meanwhile, Nao and Saito finally arrived at the Miura mansion.

They were now in the dining room. Naito stood on one side of the end table while Kengo stood on the other. In the seat that they framed sat Kanata, the head of the family, who was lazily stirring a glass of wine in his hand.

"Nao," he started.

"Tou-san...." Nao hissed.

"Your brothers have informed me that you've gotten into trouble again, on the first day no less," Kanata said tiredly. "You do understand that I've warned you about this, haven't I? You're quickly shooting down whatever options I have."

"Heh, you really think I care about you and this stupid family?" Nao bit back. "I'm not going to turn to a mindless business drone like the rest of you."

"Good, because that's going to be the least of your worries from now on."

"What?"

"I'm cutting you out of the family."

"You can't be..." Nao started, looking at his brothers. Kengo was smirking and Naito was fighting one down. "You can't be serious!!"

"You don't want to conform by our family's standards and continue to fight everything that we stand for," Kanata said as he stood up, putting his glass down on the table. "You've done nothing but step on our name and shove dirt into our business....all for what, Nao? A nightly bed mate?" he asked, glancing at Saito as he did so. "And sloppy seconds of your brother no-less," he added in distaste.

"Unless you plan to bring value into this family I don't even want to see your shadow," he said coldly. "Get out of my sight, Naoto."
